MSGBC Oil, Gas and Power takes place in Dakar from 1 to 3 December, bringing the West African basin's operators, governments and financiers together at the CICAD conference centre. The year is 2026.
The conference covers the Mauritania, Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea-Bissau and Guinea-Conakry corridor, a region whose profile has risen sharply on the back of deepwater gas development and the cross border projects that straddle the Mauritania and Senegal maritime boundary. Sessions address exploration acreage, liquefied natural gas offtake, power generation and the local content frameworks that governments in the region have been tightening.
For investors the draw is a basin that has moved from frontier to producing within a decade, and for the governments involved it is the annual opportunity to present licensing terms to a concentrated international audience. The organiser is Energy Capital and Power.
