The Middle East Oil, Gas and Geosciences Show, MEOS GEO, will be held from 14 to 16 September 2027 at Exhibition World Bahrain in Sakhir, according to the organiser's own published dates.

The event is run by Informa Markets and is the merged form of two long-standing Gulf energy events, the Middle East Oil Show and the GEO geosciences conference. The 2025 edition drew more than 17,400 visits from 63 countries, with 3,124 conference participants and 732 speakers.

MEOS GEO sits at the technical end of the regional energy calendar. Where the large commercial energy weeks in the Gulf are built around deal announcements and ministerial addresses, this one is weighted toward reservoir engineering, exploration geoscience, drilling technology, production optimisation and the applied research that supports them. The conference programme is organised around peer-reviewed technical papers, which is why the speaker count runs into the hundreds.

Bahrain is the host because the event grew out of the kingdom's position as one of the earliest oil producers on the Arabian side of the Gulf, and because Exhibition World Bahrain gives the organiser a venue large enough for a combined exhibition and multi-track conference. The venue opened relatively recently and has been used for several of the kingdom's larger international events.

A note on the dates is warranted. An earlier schedule of 6 to 8 April 2027 still appears on at least one subpage of the organiser's own website and has been propagated by several third-party event aggregators. The organiser's homepage and its exhibitor-facing pages both carry 14 to 16 September 2027, and trade coverage from August 2026 reported a September date, so the September dates are the ones to work from. Anyone holding the April dates in a planning calendar should correct them.

For exhibitors the practical implication of the two-year gap in the cycle is that stand allocation and sponsorship decisions for 2027 are taken well ahead of the event itself, which is why the organiser publishes dates this far in advance.
