The Handelsblatt Industrie-Gipfel 2026 will be held in the Turbinenhalle of Stadtwerke Duesseldorf on 25 and 26 November. Day one assesses the competitiveness of German industry, capital flows and geopolitics; day two covers artificial intelligence in production, quantum technology and the space economy. Confirmed speakers include Armin Papperger of Rheinmetall, Herbert Eibensteiner of Voestalpine and Stefan Klebert of GEA, and the programme includes plant tours at Mercedes-Benz, TRIMET and BASF on the evening before the summit, according to the organiser.
The event matters to executives because German industry is working through energy costs, defence demand, tariff exposure and the shift to automated production at the same time, and the summit is where the chief executives of the country's largest industrial groups set out how they intend to respond. Board members, investors and policymakers attend to hear those positions first hand.
The Turbinenhalle is a converted power station hall owned by Stadtwerke Duesseldorf, the city utility.
