BAU 2027 will be held at the Trade Fair Center Messe Muenchen from 11 to 15 January 2027, from Monday to Friday between 09:30 and 18:00. The biennial world leading trade fair for architecture, materials and systems is organised by Messe Muenchen.

The fair brings together architects, planners, investors, industry, the building trades and retailers. Its key themes for 2027 are materials and resources, climate protection and adaptation, changing living space, and digitalisation and productivity, according to the organiser. Exhibitors present building materials, facade and window systems, roofing, flooring, building automation and the software used to plan and operate buildings.

The event matters to executives because construction is the largest industrial sector in Europe by employment and the one most exposed to interest rates, energy standards and housing policy, and BAU is where the chief executives of building materials groups, property developers and construction companies set out their outlook and product strategy for the year. Heads of real estate at institutional investors and the leaders of large architecture practices attend.

Messe Muenchen operates the exhibition centre in the Riem district in the east of Munich.
