House of Comms has appointed Anoir Adra as Managing Director for Saudi Arabia, giving the strategic communications agency a dedicated leader in Riyadh as it expands its work in the Kingdom.

The appointment was reported on 29 August 2026 and announced by the agency on its own channels, where Jamie Wilks posted a welcome to the incoming Managing Director. House of Comms is headquartered in the United Arab Emirates and will now run its Saudi operations from Riyadh under Adra.

A career built almost entirely in the Kingdom and the Gulf

Adra brings more than 23 years in marketing communications, with a career weighted heavily toward Saudi Arabia and the wider Gulf. He joins from Brandship Consultancy in Riyadh, where he was Business Director from May 2024 to January 2026.

Before that he was International Director of Business Development at Ghetha Group and Business Director at Summit 7 Holding in Bahrain. His earlier career includes Group Director of Marketing and Sales at Rashid S. Al Rashid and Sons in Khobar, Managing Director of Manning Selvage and Lee in Riyadh, and Country Manager at Landmark PR in Jeddah.

That path is worth noting because it runs through Jeddah, Khobar and Riyadh rather than through a regional head office. Saudi Arabia is not a single commercial centre, and agencies that treat it as one tend to underestimate how much of the client base sits in the Eastern Province and the west of the country.

The agency view

In comments carried by trade press, Adra framed the move as a new chapter after more than two decades working across communications, branding, public relations and business growth in the Kingdom and the Gulf.

House of Comms said the appointment follows growth across the Kingdom and that Adra has been appointed to lead the Saudi business.

Context

The hire lands in a communications market that has changed shape quickly. Public sector and sovereign linked clients in Saudi Arabia have expanded their communications requirements substantially, and much of that work now carries local content and local presence expectations that a serviced model run from Dubai does not satisfy.

For a mid sized independent agency, appointing a Managing Director with an established Saudi network is a lower risk route into that demand than building a Riyadh office around imported leadership. Adra client side and agency side experience across government adjacent and corporate accounts is the relevant asset here, as is the fact that he has already held a country leadership role in the market.

The agency has not disclosed headcount targets for the Saudi operation or whether the role is a new position rather than a succession.
