Singapore International Energy Week runs for five days at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, opening on the twenty sixth of October and closing on the thirtieth, in the year twenty twenty six. The week is organised by the Energy Market Authority, Singapore's energy regulator, and is now in its nineteenth edition.
The programme is built around the SIEW Summit, which occupies the opening days, with a series of forums, roundtables and partner conferences running through the rest of the week. Ministers, regulators, utility chief executives and the heads of regional power and gas businesses make up the speaking list, and the agenda covers grid interconnection across South East Asia, liquefied natural gas contracting, carbon markets and the financing of new generation capacity.
Singapore uses the week as a policy platform as much as a commercial one. Announcements on import licences, interconnection agreements and regulatory frameworks have historically been timed to the Summit, which makes it one of the few energy weeks where the host government is the principal voice rather than a sponsor.
For executive search and for boards, the week matters because it concentrates the regional leadership of the power, gas and renewables sectors in one place. Appointments at the utilities, the state linked investors and the regional arms of the international energy majors frequently surface around it.
Executive Moves covers senior appointments across energy, utilities and infrastructure in Asia Pacific and the Gulf.
