Mazin Khoury

Mazin Khoury joined American Express Middle East in 1989, beginning a career that has spanned over three decades in the financial services sector. Educated in Bahrain and the US, Khoury holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Economics. He is responsible for growing the company's existing corporate and consumer cards business across 18 markets in the MENA region, and is based at the company's regional headquarters in Bahrain.

Khoury was appointed CEO of American Express Middle East in 2012, having served as Chief Operating Officer since 2010. Throughout his tenure, he has held a number of senior level positions over the past two decades, including CEO of Amex (Saudi Arabia) Limited. He served as Chief Executive Officer at Amex (Saudi Arabia) Limited from August 2000 to December 2005, where he was responsible for establishing and managing the Joint Venture for American Express.

Khoury was named as one of Forbes Middle East's Top 100 Business Leaders in the Middle East in 2017, and was ranked 31st in Arabian Business's World's Most Powerful Arabs 2019 list. He also sits on the board of directors of the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC).
