Vinitech-Sifel holds its 25th edition at the Bordeaux Exhibition Centre from 1 to 3 December 2026, covering equipment and technology for wine production and for the fruit and vegetable sector.

The exhibition brings together manufacturers of vineyard machinery, harvesting and sorting equipment, winemaking and cellar technology, packaging and bottling lines, and the precision agriculture and irrigation systems that have become central to both industries.

Bordeaux is the obvious host. The surrounding region is the largest appellation wine producing area in France by value, and the exhibition centre sits within reach of the growers and cooperatives who make up a substantial part of the visitor base.

Why it matters

The French wine sector is in structural adjustment. Domestic consumption has declined over a sustained period, export markets have been uneven, and public schemes have funded the removal of vines in several regions. Capital equipment purchasing in that environment is defensive, directed at reducing labour dependence and at managing climate risk rather than at expanding capacity.

That makes the exhibition a useful read on where agricultural technology spending is actually landing. Mechanised harvesting, water management, frost protection and disease resistant plant material are the categories that grow when a sector is consolidating rather than expanding.

The fruit and vegetable half of the show, carried under the Sifel name, addresses an adjacent industry facing the same labour and climate pressures.

The event is organised by Congres et Expositions de Bordeaux across three days.
