The UITP MENA Conference 2026 will be held in Dubai on 7 and 8 December. The conference is organised by the Middle East and North Africa division of UITP, the International Association of Public Transport, and its official brochure confirms the two day format. The venue has not been named in the published material.
UITP brings together public transport authorities, metro, bus and rail operators, and the manufacturers and technology companies that supply them. The regional conference covers network expansion, fare and ticketing systems, autonomous and electric fleets, integration between rail, bus and taxi services, and the financing and private participation models being used for new lines across the Gulf.
The event is relevant to executives because the region is in the middle of a large public transport build out, from the Riyadh metro and Dubai's metro extensions to new bus networks and rail links, and because operating contracts are increasingly awarded to international operators in joint venture with local partners. Chief executives of transport groups, engineering firms and mobility technology companies attend to meet the authorities that award those contracts.
Registration and the programme are published by UITP. Note that the earlier queued dates of 9 and 10 December were superseded by the organiser's brochure, which gives 7 and 8 December.
