Sahara Expo 2026 takes place at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in Cairo from 22 to 24 September 2026. Organised by Informa Markets, the exhibition is one of the longest established agricultural trade shows in Africa and the Middle East, covering crop production, irrigation, agricultural machinery, animal health, poultry and the inputs and services that support them.
The show draws manufacturers and distributors of agricultural equipment, seeds, fertilisers and crop protection products, together with the Egyptian and regional farming enterprises, cooperatives and government agencies that buy from them. A conference programme runs alongside the exhibition and typically addresses food security, water efficiency, financing for agriculture and export market access.
Egypt is the region's largest agricultural producer and a major importer of food and inputs, which gives the exhibition a role well beyond the domestic market. International exhibitors use Cairo as a gateway to North Africa and the Nile basin, and Gulf investors with food security mandates have been active buyers of Egyptian farmland and processing capacity.
For senior executives in agribusiness, food processing, water technology and agricultural finance, Sahara Expo is a practical venue for meeting Egyptian buyers and distribution partners in one place. Boards of companies with food security strategies in the Gulf will read the exhibitor list and conference themes as a signal of where Egyptian production is heading and which technologies are being adopted at scale.
