Intersec 2027 takes place from 12 to 14 January 2027 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, opening the region's trade show calendar for the year with its established gathering of the security, safety and fire protection industries.
The event is organised by Messe Frankfurt Middle East and has been running in Dubai for more than a quarter of a century. It brings together manufacturers, integrators, distributors and end users across commercial and perimeter security, cybersecurity, homeland security and policing, fire and rescue, and safety and health. Exhibitors range from global electronics and surveillance groups to regional system integrators and specialist fire protection firms.
Intersec matters to executives for reasons that go beyond the products on the floor. Physical security, fire safety and cyber resilience are board-level risk items for any organisation operating large facilities, critical infrastructure or public venues in the region, and the show is where the standards, technologies and vendors that shape those risk programmes are on display. Government buyers from police forces, civil defence authorities and infrastructure operators across the GCC attend in delegations, and much of the region's procurement in these categories is influenced by what is presented in January.
The conference programme typically includes forums on fire safety codes, a security leaders' track on integrated command and control, a cybersecurity strand covering operational technology and critical infrastructure, and sessions on the convergence of physical and digital security. Speakers are drawn from regulators, large asset owners, consultancies and the vendor community.
For chief security officers, heads of health and safety, facilities and real estate leaders, and the chief executives of companies in the security, fire and safety supply chain, Intersec is the region's principal annual meeting point. It is also a reliable place to read demand: the size of the fire and safety halls tracks the construction cycle, and the growth of the cyber and homeland security zones reflects rising government spending on resilience.
