The Handelsblatt Insurance Summit 2026 will be held at the Townhall of the Handelsblatt Media Group on Toulouser Allee in Duesseldorf from Tuesday 24 November at 09:00 to Wednesday 25 November at 16:00. The summit is organised by Euroforum Deutschland, the conference arm of the Handelsblatt Media Group.
Themes for 2026 include the strategic repositioning of insurers, artificial intelligence as a board topic, the Digital Operational Resilience Act and the EU AI Act, and embedded insurance. Confirmed speakers include Carsten Schildknecht of Zurich Deutschland, Jens Warkentin of HDI and Zeliha Hanning of Wuerttembergische, and the organiser states that more than 75 percent of participants are insurance executives.
The event matters to executives because it is the annual gathering at which the chief executives and board members of German insurers, reinsurers and brokers set out their strategy in public and in closed sessions, and because regulators and technology partners use it to test their proposals with the industry. Non executive directors, chief financial officers and chief risk officers from the sector attend alongside consultants and investors.
The Handelsblatt Townhall is in the Derendorf district of Duesseldorf.
