The Republic of the Congo will host the Congo Energy & Investment Forum in Brazzaville, bringing international investors and project developers together with the country's regulators and policymakers. The forum is scheduled for 1 to 3 June and will be held at The Grand Hotel de Kintele.

Energy Capital & Power organises the forum in collaboration with the Republic of the Congo Ministry of Hydrocarbons, a pairing that gives the meeting direct access to the officials who award and administer licences. The organiser positions the event as a platform for partnership and investment opportunities across hydrocarbon exploration, gas monetisation, green energy and downstream industry.

Previous editions have drawn more than 1,500 attendees from 30 countries, with roughly 100 organisations and 50 speakers taking part, according to figures published by the organiser. The programme covers oil, gas and power, and frames the Republic of the Congo as an energy investment destination within the wider central African market.

The timing matters for executives watching Congolese fiscal policy. The African Development Bank has recommended that the country introduce an automatic mechanism to capture additional oil revenues when crude prices exceed budget assumptions, a measure aimed at strengthening public finances and reducing debt exposure. Investors weighing new upstream or downstream commitments will be looking for clarity on how any such mechanism would interact with existing contract terms, and a ministry backed forum is where that clarity is usually signalled first.

Gas monetisation is the other thread worth following. Congolese production has historically been oil weighted, and the shift towards gas commercialisation and associated power generation is the kind of structural change that reshapes who sits on local boards and which international operators build a country presence.

The venue is The Grand Hotel de Kintele in the Djiri district of Brazzaville. The year is 2027.
