CATEX, Ireland's largest foodservice and hospitality exhibition, runs at RDS Simmonscourt in Dublin from the sixteenth to the eighteenth of February. The year is 2027.
The biennial show gathers more than two hundred and eighty suppliers and draws chefs, caterers, hoteliers, publicans and foodservice buyers from across the island. It is organised by the Irish Foodservice Suppliers Alliance.
Because it runs only every second year, CATEX functions as the sector's main ordering and supplier review point rather than as one show among many. For hospitality operators it falls early enough in the year to shape the summer season, and the biennial rhythm means equipment and technology launches are held back for it.
