Alireza Valizadeh

Alireza Valizadeh was appointed CEO of Julius Baer (Middle East) Ltd effective February 1, 2020, leading the Swiss wealth manager's regional operations from its Dubai headquarters. Valizadeh brought more than 25 years of experience in the wealth management industry to the role, with responsibility for strengthening Dubai as the main hub for Julius Baer's operations in the region and overseeing growth of the Middle East and Africa business.

Prior to his CEO appointment, Valizadeh joined Julius Baer in Dubai 14 years earlier, held many senior roles, and played an instrumental role in the bank's growth. Before Julius Baer, he was part of the management team at Credit Suisse, where he managed substantial assets for Ultra High Net-worth Individuals and Institutions.

Under Valizadeh's leadership, Julius Baer's Dubai office grew to over 150 employees from across 25 nationalities, becoming one of the largest wealth managers in the DIFC since the bank received DFSA License Number 1 in 2004. He emphasized building capabilities to serve clients through teams of investment advisors, discretionary mandate advisors, wealth planners, and credit structuring experts. Under his tenure, Julius Baer expanded its regional presence to offices in Bahrain and Doha since 2022.
