Investcorp Capital announced the appointment of Rohit Nanda as Chief Financial Officer, effective April 2, 2024. Nanda stepped into the role following the promotion of his predecessor Abbas Rizvi to CFO of parent company Investcorp Holdings.

The Abu Dhabi-listed alternative investment firm said Nanda's appointment reflected his track record in managing financial strategy and investment operations. Abbas Rizvi, the departing CFO and an Investcorp Capital board member, stated in the March 2024 announcement that Nanda's experience made him "the ideal candidate to lead the company's financial strategy, ensuring that Investcorp Capital continues to grow and provide strong returns to shareholders." Nanda's predecessor had overseen the company's successful initial public offering before his promotion.

Nanda brings more than two decades of experience in financial services, with 15 years spent at Investcorp Group. Prior to his CFO appointment, he served as Head of Operations and Head of Investment Structuring and Business Support for Asia, where he led end-to-end financial business support and owned processes across the company's investment cycle. He also oversaw tax and financial compliance for transactions conducted by Investcorp in the region. Earlier in his career, Nanda held the position of Director of Business Development and served on the Investment Committee at private equity firm Lagoon Capital in Dubai. Before that, he was an Associate Director at QInvest, a private investment bank based in Qatar. Nanda holds a master's degree in finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science, is a Chartered Accountant, and is a CFA Charterholder.

Investcorp Capital, headquartered on Abu Dhabi's Al Maryah Island, is an investor in private markets and provider of capital financing services in the alternative investments space. Founded by Investcorp Group, which manages approximately $62 billion in assets, the company focuses on long-term value creation through corporate investments, real assets, global credit, and strategic capital across the United States, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. The company went public in 2023 on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange. Recent activity includes the deployment of over $200 million in U.S. industrial real estate properties and efforts to expand its presence in credit management and infrastructure investments.

Nanda's appointment represents a clean internal succession, reflecting Investcorp Capital's broader management stability. His promotion from within the parent organization signals continuity in the company's financial strategy and operational oversight. The appointment came as the company navigated its post-listing phase and pursued expansion across new asset classes and geographies, suggesting Nanda's prior experience structuring deals and managing regional operations positioned him to oversee the capital allocation and reporting demands of the publicly listed entity.
