The Invest in African Energy Forum returns to Paris in the spring, with the organiser Energy Capital and Power scheduling the next edition from the eleventh to the thirteenth of May. The year is 2027.
The forum is one of the few recurring events that deliberately convenes African energy ministries and project sponsors with European institutional capital on European ground rather than on the continent itself. That choice of venue is the point of it: the delegations that matter for project finance, the development finance institutions, the export credit agencies and the private funds, are concentrated in Europe, and bringing African deal flow to them lowers the cost of a first meeting.
Recent editions have been built around upstream licensing rounds, gas to power projects and the transmission investment needed to make either useful. The organiser runs a cluster of related events across the African energy calendar, and this is the capital raising end of that programme rather than the technical end.
Paris has no single fixed venue announced for the edition. Executive Moves will carry the venue and the published agenda when the organiser releases them.
