Clint Zahmel

Clint Zahmel is co-founder and executive director of Licovolt, a University College Dublin spin-out that has developed a novel chemical compound and associated process to extract critical minerals such as lithium, cobalt, nickel and manganese from spent battery material. Zahmel has an extensive mining and processing background and was in Ireland studying for an MBA at Trinity College Dublin when he met Mark Connolly, an experienced business executive, leading to Licovolt's formation.

Zahmel is an experienced leader with an extensive M&A, mining and processing background and has worked as a lawyer in Australia before entering into leadership roles in industry. His expertise draws on experience from operations and development projects in coal, copper, gold and zinc mining as well as infrastructure, transport and building & construction industries in Australia, Africa, India, Papua New Guinea and the Americas.
