OFSEC 2026, the tenth edition of the Oman Fire, Safety and Security Event, takes place on 19 and 20 October 2026 at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre in Muscat. Organised by Muscat Expo, it is the Sultanate's dedicated exhibition and conference for fire protection, occupational safety, security systems and emergency response.
The event brings together manufacturers, distributors and integrators of fire detection and suppression systems, personal protective equipment, surveillance and access control, cybersecurity and command and control platforms, and emergency and rescue vehicles and equipment. The visitor base includes the Royal Oman Police and civil defence and ambulance authorities, the health, safety and security functions of Oman's oil and gas, petrochemical, mining, utilities and port operators, facilities managers and contractors, and the consultants and insurers who assess risk across those sectors.
OFSEC matters to executives because safety and security are operating priorities and regulatory obligations for Oman's largest industries. The Sultanate's energy, industrial and logistics sectors run assets where fire and process safety standards are strictly enforced, and the growth of new industrial zones, refineries, ports, data centres and tourism developments is expanding the market for protection systems and services. Government and state-owned entities are among the largest buyers, and the event is where they review technology and meet suppliers.
A conference programme runs alongside the exhibition and typically covers fire safety codes and inspection regimes, industrial process safety and emergency planning, the protection of critical infrastructure, the convergence of physical and cyber security, and the training and certification of safety professionals. Speakers include officials from the civil defence and police authorities, the safety leadership of major Omani operators and international standards and technology specialists.
For chief executives and regional heads at fire and safety equipment manufacturers, security technology companies and systems integrators, and for the heads of health, safety and security at industrial, energy and infrastructure operators in Oman, OFSEC is the principal annual meeting point of the sector in the Sultanate. Its tenth edition marks a decade of growth alongside the expansion of Oman's industrial base.
