Abdulaziz Ali Abussuud

Abdulaziz Ali Abussuud was born on August 5, 1940, in Qatif, Saudi Arabia. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from American University Beirut, completed in 1971. He completed professional training including a course in basic management from Merck Training and Consulting Co. in 1981 and a course in marine insurance from Richards Hogg International Company in 1982.

Abussuud is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute and serves on the National Committee Insurance Services. His career has spanned multiple regions of the Gulf and broader Middle East. He served as Acting Manager at Arab Commercial Enterprises in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (1971-1972), Manager in Muscat, Oman (1972-1973), and held progressively senior roles including Manager in Bahrain (1973-1978), Regional Manager (1978-1985), Senior Vice President Gulf (1986-1987), and Senior Group Vice President Saudi Arabia (1988-1989).
