Saudi National Bank (SNB) has appointed Fawaz bin Abdullah Al-Thumairi as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, effect on 3rd September 2026.
The promotion elevates a long-serving insider to the bank's senior executive tier. Al-Thumairi has spent his career moving across SNB's markets and transaction businesses, and the bank said he brings "extensive banking and leadership experience" to the role. The report does not set out the specific divisions that will report to him [verify remit].
His previous positions at SNB include Head of Trading, Head of Strategic Investments, Head of Cash Management and Global Transaction Banking, and Head of Treasury Group. That combination of treasury, markets and transaction banking leadership gives him oversight experience across balance sheet, liquidity and corporate client franchises.
He holds a bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals and has completed executive leadership programmes at universities internationally.
