John Musunga

John Musunga is Managing Director for Africa at Diageo, appointed in 2026 with effect from 1 July. Based in Nairobi, he oversees the company’s business across the African continent. He previously served as Managing Director of Diageo’s South, West and Central Africa business, covering more than 30 markets, and before that as Chief Executive and Managing Director of Guinness Nigeria. He earlier led Kenya Breweries Limited after joining Diageo in 2021. Prior to Diageo he held senior commercial and public health roles at GSK across Africa, Europe and Asia, and brings more than 25 years of leadership experience.
