Dr. Beverly Lorraine Ho

Dr. Beverly Lorraine Ho serves as Chief Health Officer of Ayala Healthcare Holdings, Inc., a subsidiary of Ayala Corporation. Ho is no stranger to the health sector, having previously served as chief health officer of Ayala Healthcare Holdings Inc. before being appointed to the state health insurer. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of the Philippines Diliman.

Ho earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of the Philippines Manila and a Master in Public Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She is a fellow of the Maurice Greenberg World Fellows Program at Yale University, the Equity Initiative, and the Atlantic Institute. She earned the Leadership Award in Public Health Practice from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in 2024 and the Ten Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) award in 2022.

Ho's extensive experience in public health includes holding various leadership roles, most notably in the Department of Health where she rose through the ranks from Chief of the Health Research Division of the Health Policy Development and Planning Bureau to becoming the Assistant Secretary of Public Health Services. She was the undersecretary and officer-in-charge of the Public Health Services Team, director of the Health Promotion Bureau, and director of the Disease Prevention and Control Bureau. Her efforts significantly contributed to the passage of key legislation on sugar-sweetened beverage tax, universal health care (UHC), and the institutionalization of the health technology assessment process in the Philippines. She also served as DOH deputy spokesperson during the COVID-19 pandemic, from 2020 to 2022.
