Charlie Munger

Charles Thomas Munger (January 1, 1924 – November 28, 2023) was an American businessman, investor, attorney and philanthropist. Munger was the vice chairman of Berkshire Hathaway from 1978 until his death in 2023. Warren Buffett described Munger as his closest partner and right-hand man, and credited him with being the "architect" of modern Berkshire Hathaway's business philosophy.

An Omaha native, Munger left the University of Michigan to become an Army meteorologist during World War II. After his military service, Munger returned to his studies and was accepted to Harvard Law School without finishing his undergraduate degree, graduating with a Juris Doctor degree in 1948. He studied at the University of Michigan, California Institute of Technology, and Harvard University.
