Fresh produce market hall

SIAL Paris, the largest food and beverage trade exhibition in the world, takes place at Paris Nord Villepinte from 17 to 21 October 2026.

The show is a pure business to business sourcing event. Food manufacturers, processors, ingredient suppliers and private label producers exhibit to an audience of retail buyers, distributors, wholesalers and foodservice operators, with the explicit purpose of writing supply contracts rather than building consumer brands.

Paris Nord Villepinte, adjacent to Charles de Gaulle airport, is the only French venue with the hall capacity the event requires, and the airport location is material for an exhibition whose attendance is substantially international.

Why it matters

SIAL functions as a price and availability signal for the global packaged food trade. Commodity cost pressure, reformulation driven by regulation, private label share gains and the direction of retailer margin negotiations are all visible on the floor before they appear in company results.

For executives in retail, consumer goods and logistics the week is one of the few occasions when buyers and suppliers from across Europe, the Gulf, Asia and the Americas are in one place during a contracting season. Sourcing decisions taken there shape shelf composition for the following year.

The exhibition is organised by Comexposium and runs across five days.
