Salon SME returns to the Palais des Congres de Paris on 13 and 14 October 2026, bringing together France's entrepreneurs, micro-business owners and self-employed workers with the advisers and financiers who serve them.

The event is France's principal trade show for business creation and small enterprise growth. Its exhibitor base covers business formation services, banking and alternative finance, accounting and legal advice, insurance, digital tools and the regional development agencies that administer public support schemes.

The Palais des Congres sits at Porte Maillot on the western edge of central Paris, between the city and the La Defense business district, which makes it the usual choice for events that need to draw both a professional audience and a general business public.

Why it matters

France has one of the higher rates of new business registration in Western Europe, driven substantially by the simplified micro-entrepreneur regime, and the advisory market serving that population is correspondingly large and fragmented. Salon SME is where it concentrates for two days.

For executives the relevance is less the exhibition floor than the signal it gives on where small business financing is flowing. Bank lending appetite, the growth of embedded finance offers, and the health of the public guarantee schemes are all visible in who exhibits and what they are promoting.

The show is organised by Groupe SME and runs across both days with a programme of conferences and workshops alongside the exhibition.
