The Libya Energy and Economic Summit returns to Tripoli for its next edition, running from the twenty third to the twenty fifth of January at the Tripoli International Convention Centre. The year is 2027.

The 2027 programme adds a dedicated Infrastructure and Integration Forum, which will examine how Libya converts a growing resource base into domestic processing capacity and stronger regional links. That is a deliberate change of emphasis. Previous editions of the summit have been organised around upstream licensing and production targets; this one puts the midstream and downstream constraints at the centre.

The agenda follows the money. More than twenty billion dollars has been committed to the Waha concessions under a twenty five year development agreement targeting several hundred thousand additional barrels a day, and the country's national oil company is pursuing refinery modernisation and expanded petrochemical manufacturing alongside it. On the gas side, a multibillion dollar offshore project is designed to move production to the Mellitah treatment plant. A planned expansion of Misurata Port would turn the facility into a Mediterranean container and logistics hub.

For an executive audience the summit is one of the few forums where Libya's ministries, its national oil company and international operators appear on the same platform, and where the practical questions about contracting, local content and payment security get asked in public rather than in private.

Registration details and the full agenda sit with the organiser.
