InfraTech, the leading infrastructure trade fair in the Benelux region, returns to Rotterdam Ahoy from 12 to 15 January 2027, occupying all six halls of the venue together with its convention centre.
The fair is organised by Rotterdam Ahoy itself and runs biennially. The 2025 edition drew 23,344 visitors, which makes it one of the largest infrastructure events in northern Europe by attendance.
The programme covers roads and rail, bridges and tunnels, water management and flood defence, underground utilities, construction equipment, the digitalisation of asset management and infrastructure sustainability. The 2027 edition is organised around six themes.
What distinguishes InfraTech from a general construction fair is the weight of public sector attendance. Dutch and Flemish infrastructure is commissioned largely by public clients, and the national roads and waterways agency, the rail infrastructure manager, the provinces, the municipalities and the regional water authorities all attend in numbers. For contractors and engineering consultancies the fair is therefore as much a client event as a product showcase.
The water management content carries particular weight given the host country. The Netherlands has built an infrastructure export industry out of its own flood defence and water engineering experience, and InfraTech is one of the places where that capability is presented to international visitors alongside the domestic programme.
The timing in the second week of January is deliberate and long established. It puts the fair at the start of the procurement year, when public clients are setting out their tender pipelines and contractors are assembling their bidding plans for the season ahead.
Equipment manufacturers use the event for European launches, and the digital asset management content has grown steadily as public clients have moved from maintaining assets on fixed cycles to maintaining them on condition data. That shift is the quiet structural story of the sector, and it is where much of the 2027 exhibition floor is likely to be concentrated.
