IEEE PowerTalks 2026 will be held at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, Muscat, from 12 to 14 October. The three day power and energy conference and exhibition, now in its fifth edition, is organised by Raya Services and hosted by Nama Electricity Distribution, with the IEEE Oman Section, the IEEE Power and Energy Society and the Oman Society of Engineers as partners.
The programme is themed on energy transition pathways and grid resilience in Oman and takes place in the venue's Grand Ballroom. It convenes utilities, the regulators APSR and MEM, PDO, OQ and OETC, alongside original equipment manufacturers including Siemens, Hitachi Energy, ABB and EDF. According to the organiser, the 2025 edition drew 3,500 participants from 50 countries.
For executives, the event is where Oman's utility, oil and gas, renewables and engineering leadership meets the regulators and vendors shaping grid investment. Chief executives and boards of utilities, developers and contractors use the three days to read regulatory direction, benchmark grid resilience plans and open procurement conversations with the manufacturers on the exhibition floor.
The dates and venue are unchanged from the original announcement, and the conference is listed on both the OCEC calendar and the organiser's own site.
