Hong Kong FinTech Week 2026 runs from 2 to 6 November 2026, with its main conference at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 2 and 3 November and a programme of satellite events across the city through the rest of the week. The event is organised by the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau and InvestHK of the Hong Kong SAR Government, co organised with the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, the Securities and Futures Commission and the Insurance Authority, and delivered with Finoverse. It is combined with the StartmeupHK Festival.

The organiser cites more than 45,000 attendees at recent editions, with around 60 percent at senior executive level, and the 2026 programme is expected to be addressed by the Chief Executive, John Lee, and the Financial Secretary, Paul Chan. The presence of all three of Hong Kong's financial regulators as co organisers gives the week a policy weight that distinguishes it from purely commercial fintech conferences.

Themes include digital assets and tokenisation, where Hong Kong has built a licensing regime for exchanges and stablecoin issuers, artificial intelligence in financial services, payments and cross border connectivity with mainland China, wealth technology and insurance technology. The week coincides with the Global Financial Leaders' Investment Summit convened by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, which brings the heads of the world's largest financial institutions to the city in the same days.

For chief executives, boards and heads of strategy in banking, asset management, insurance and payments, the week is the clearest annual statement of Hong Kong's financial regulatory direction and of its positioning against Singapore and Dubai as a hub for financial technology and digital assets. Gulf financial institutions and sovereign investors have increased their engagement with Hong Kong, and the week is a natural venue for it. Dates are confirmed on the official event site and by InvestHK.
