ADIPEC returns to Abu Dhabi from 2 to 5 November 2026, bringing the global energy industry to the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi for four days of exhibition and conference programming across the full energy value chain.
The event is organised by dmg events and hosted by ADNOC, with the technical conference programme delivered in partnership with the Society of Petroleum Engineers. It is positioned by its organisers as the largest energy exhibition and conference in the world.
The 2026 edition covers upstream, natural gas and liquefied natural gas, downstream and chemicals, clean power, grids and infrastructure, with a stated emphasis on energy security, competitiveness and decarbonisation. The organisers list more than 2,250 exhibiting companies, 54 national and international oil and energy companies, and 30 country pavilions.
The conference runs 13 separate programmes with more than 380 sessions and over 1,800 speakers, drawing more than 16,500 delegates according to the organisers. New programme strands for 2026 include energy security and resilience, policy and regulation and governance, clean power and carbon management, grids and industrial execution, and workforce and skills. Four specialised exhibition zones cover artificial intelligence, digitalisation, low carbon and chemicals, and maritime and logistics.
For senior executives the draw is concentrated in the invitation-only Global Energy Club, which convenes ministers, dignitaries and chief executives alongside leadership roundtables, including a dedicated artificial intelligence leadership track. The programme is supported by the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, Masdar and the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy.
The speaker list published by the organisers for 2026 already includes the chief executives of Shell, bp, Eni, SLB, Baker Hughes, Halliburton and Vitol, together with the UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure. That concentration of operating leadership in one venue is what has made the event a fixture in the annual calendar of energy sector executives rather than a purely technical gathering.
Exhibition hours run from 10:00 to 18:30 from 2 to 4 November and from 10:00 to 17:30 on 5 November. A gala dinner and a golf day sit alongside the main programme, and Young ADIPEC runs as the youth and science education strand.
The scale figures the organisers carry forward from the previous edition, including attendance above 239,000 and business value generated across tens of thousands of meetings, should be read as organiser-stated results rather than independently audited numbers. What is not in dispute is the density of decision makers: for anyone tracking leadership changes across national oil companies, oilfield services and the emerging low carbon supply chain, the first week of November in Abu Dhabi is the single most efficient place to be.
