World Governments Summit 2027

The World Governments Summit 2027 will take place in Dubai from 1 to 3 February 2027, the summit organisation has confirmed, setting one of the region's most senior public and private sector gatherings squarely in the opening weeks of the year.

The dates were announced following the close of the 2026 edition, which drew more than 6,250 participants and ranked as the summit's largest to date. The annual event brings together heads of state and government, ministers, central bank and sovereign fund leaders, and chief executives from across sectors to examine the future of government, economic policy, technology and global cooperation.

Why it matters to executives

For boards and C-suite leaders, the World Governments Summit is less a conference than an early read on the policy weather. The agenda routinely shapes how governments in the Gulf and beyond think about regulation, artificial intelligence, sovereign investment and public-private partnership, and the signals sent from the main stage often precede concrete policy in the months that follow. Executives with exposure to the region use the week to calibrate strategy against where governments intend to steer capital and rules.

It is also among the densest senior networking windows in the MENA calendar. The concentration of ministers, regulators and sovereign investors in one venue makes it a rare setting for relationship-building at the top of both government and industry, which is precisely the audience that leadership teams and their advisers plan travel around.
