Adriatic Marinas, the owner and operator of Porto Montenegro, has appointed Andrea Eggers as Chief Executive Officer of the luxury marina and integrated waterfront destination in Tivat. The appointment places an experienced retail and real estate leader at the head of one of the Adriatic coast's most prominent mixed-use developments.

Eggers succeeds David Margason, who moves within the wider group to lead the Adriatic 42 development in Bijela. She joins Porto Montenegro from Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, where she held senior portfolio and general management responsibilities across Austria and Germany, overseeing flagship retail and leisure destinations. That background in managing large, footfall-driven mixed-use assets maps closely onto Porto Montenegro's blend of marina berths, residences, retail, hospitality and year-round events.

Porto Montenegro has grown from a superyacht marina into a full lifestyle destination, combining berthing for large vessels with branded residences, a hotel, boutiques, restaurants and a calendar of cultural and nautical events. Under the ownership of Adriatic Marinas, the destination has become a cornerstone of Montenegro's effort to position its coastline as a premium Mediterranean alternative for tourism, yachting and second-home investment. The leadership change comes as the destination continues to expand its residential and commercial offer and deepen its year-round programming beyond the traditional summer season.

The choice of a leader from the international retail and real estate world signals where Porto Montenegro sees its next phase of growth. A marina of this scale competes less with other harbours than with established Mediterranean lifestyle hubs, and sustaining that position depends on tenant mix, event programming, residential sales and guest experience as much as on berth occupancy. Eggers's track record operating consumer-facing destinations across German-speaking Europe, a core source market for Adriatic tourism and property buyers, gives the operator a leader fluent in the commercial disciplines that drive those revenue lines.

Her arrival also reflects the continued professionalisation of Montenegro's high-end tourism sector, which has drawn significant Gulf and international capital over the past decade. The transition, with Margason moving to the group's Adriatic 42 project rather than departing, points to a coordinated succession within Adriatic Marinas as it develops multiple sites along the bay. For Porto Montenegro, the immediate priorities are likely to include maintaining premium occupancy, advancing the next residential phases and reinforcing the destination's appeal to yacht owners and visitors outside the peak months.

Eggers takes over a destination that has already established international recognition, and her mandate will be to build on that base while steering the commercial, residential and hospitality strands that now define Porto Montenegro. The appointment adds to a steady flow of senior leadership moves across the Adriatic and wider Mediterranean tourism and real estate sector.
