Gulf Capital Investment Company (InvestGB), the investment arm of Kuwait-based Gulf Bank, has appointed Ammar Taleb Hajeyah as Chief Investment Officer, effective 4 May 2026.
Hajeyah brings a strong understanding of InvestGB’s strategic priorities, having worked closely with Gulf Bank’s leadership team. He played a pivotal role in the establishment of InvestGB, contributing to business planning, the design of operational and governance frameworks, the transition of business lines, and the development of the company’s target operating model in line with regulatory requirements and the Bank’s strategic objectives.
Hajeyah has more than 21 years of experience in the financial and investment services sector, most recently serving as Acting General Manager of Investments at Gulf Bank. he previously spent 14 years at Global Investment House as Senior Vice President, MENA Asset Management.
He has held senior leadership roles and board positions across local, regional, and governmental entities and currently serves as an independent board member of the Higher Committee of the Insurance Regulatory Unit.
InvestGB said the appointment aligns with its focus on building a highly qualified workforce and supporting Kuwaiti talent, noting that Kuwaitis account for 80% of executive management roles within the company.
