Revolut Bank UAB has added Radek Pluhar to its Supervisory Council. Revolut set out the council changes on 8 October 2026, in a statement carried by the Polish business press, and the bank's own leadership and governance page now lists Pluhar as a member of its Risk and Compliance and Nomination Committees.
Announced alongside him was Piotr Bednarski, whose seat on the same council had already been disclosed in July, when it was reported on the strength of his own public post and described as following approval from the European Central Bank and the Bank of Lithuania. What was new in October was Revolut's formal confirmation of the council's composition and the addition of Pluhar.
Who Pluhar is
Pluhar held the roles of Group Chief Risk Officer, Group Chief Financial Officer and Group Chief Executive Officer at Home Credit, the consumer finance group. Before that he was Chief Risk Officer and a board member at Equa Bank. He holds a doctorate in economics and is a CFA charterholder.
Bednarski brings a regulatory career of more than thirty years. He held senior positions at the National Bank of Poland and at the Polish Financial Supervision Authority, took part in European Union supervisory bodies and Basel Committee work, and was most recently a director at PwC Poland, advising financial institutions in Poland, elsewhere in the European Union and in the Gulf. He holds an MBA in banking and international finance from the University of Birmingham and completed postgraduate studies at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics.
A Lithuanian bank, not a Polish one
The entity in question is Revolut Bank UAB, incorporated and licensed in Lithuania and supervised by the Bank of Lithuania and the European Central Bank. Its Polish presence is a branch of that Lithuanian entity rather than a separate Polish company. The Polish Financial Supervision Authority has said on the record that establishing such a branch is not a licensing process and proceeds by notification from the home supervisor.
That distinction matters for how the appointments should be read. These are seats on the supervisory body of Revolut's European banking licence holder, which carries the group's passported activity across the European Union, rather than appointments to a Polish board.
The council as it now stands
The Supervisory Council is chaired by Dovile Grigiene, who also sits on the Nomination Committee. Markus Krebsz chairs the Remuneration Committee, Christian Mouillon chairs the Audit Committee and Jaap Remijn chairs the Risk and Compliance Committee. Caroline Britton sits on the Audit and Remuneration Committees, Bednarski on Risk and Compliance and Remuneration, and Pluhar on Risk and Compliance and Nomination.
Revolut did not state an effective date for either appointment, and neither man chairs a committee.
