Peter Simeon

Peter Simeon is an experienced corporate commercial and securities lawyer based in Toronto. As a partner at Gowling WLG with more than two decades of experience and multiple mining board roles, Simeon was appointed to Quimbaya Gold's board of directors and governance and compensation committee effective October 6, 2026. He is recognized in Chambers Canada, The Legal 500 Canada, Best Lawyers in Canada and The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory, and is a member of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada.

At Gowling WLG's Toronto office, Simeon focuses his practice on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and structured products. In addition to his work in private practice, he spent several years as corporate counsel at a multinational technology company and completed a secondment at the Ontario Securities Commission in its Market Regulation Group. He has acted for clients across a range of industries, such as cannabis, mining, and technology.

Simeon obtained his LLB from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2001 and his BA in Political Studies from Queen's University in 1998. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2002.
