David Hutchinson

David Hutchinson is a performance transformation expert who returned to AlixPartners as a Managing Director in February 2022, based in the firm's London office. He previously served as a Managing Director at AlixPartners for 13 years before his departure, making his return a significant rehire for the firm.

Hutchinson brings more than 35 years of experience in performance improvement programmes, working as both a line manager and hands-on advisor. With deep experience in manufacturing and supply chain management, his career has spanned a wide range of industries including consumer products, industrials, chemicals, automotive, retail and healthcare. Over his career, Hutchinson has worked with companies and private equity houses to deliver complex transformations and turnarounds, as well as providing end-to-end transaction support covering due diligence, carve-outs, value creation and post-merger integrations.

Hutchinson holds an MA degree from the University of Oxford. He began his career in the 1980s as an engineer before pivoting to corporate transformations.
