MAPIC 2026 will be held at the Palais des Festivals, Cannes, from 3 to 4 November. The retail real estate market is organised by RX France, and the 2026 event is the 31st edition according to the venue listing.
MAPIC is the international retail real estate and leasing market. According to the organiser, the 2026 edition expects 4,000 participants from 75 countries, 1,800 retailers and 200 exhibiting companies. Highlights include a new high street programme run with Cushman and Wakefield, a retail parks summit, LeisurUp and the MAPIC Awards.
The market is where landlords and retailers set their expansion plans for the coming year. Landlords such as Klépierre, Nhood, Sonae Sierra and Ingka attend to fill their schemes, retail chief executives and heads of expansion negotiate leases across shopping centres, retail parks and high streets, and investors read the leasing market for signals on asset pricing. The two days in Cannes concentrate the decision makers of European retail property into a single venue, which makes the market a bellwether for the sector's confidence going into the new year, and the new high street programme signals a widening of the market's focus beyond enclosed centres.
The Palais des Festivals also hosts MIPIM, the real estate investment market from the same organiser, from 15 to 19 March 2027, according to the venue's business agenda.
