Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 May 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how Executive Moves ("we", "our") collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit executive-moves.com or interact with our editorial and commercial services.

Who we are

Executive Moves is a B2B publication owned and operated by Fluent XP, a company registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Our editorial and commercial address is Dubai Knowledge Park, Al Sofouh, P.O. Box 500195, Dubai, UAE. For data protection enquiries, contact info@executive-moves.com.

What personal information we collect

We collect information in three ways:

1. Information you give us directly

  • Submissions to our editorial team: when you submit an executive appointment through our submission form, we collect your name, email, phone, organisation, the announcement details and any photo you upload.
  • Job listings: when an employer or recruiter posts a role on our jobs board, we collect the listing details and the submitter's contact information.
  • Newsletter signups: when you subscribe to the Executive Moves newsletter, we collect your email address. Newsletter delivery is handled by Beehiiv (see Third Parties below).
  • Contact form messages and direct emails to info@executive-moves.com.
  • Commercial enquiries: when you ask about advertising, sponsored content or partnerships, we collect the business contact details you provide.

2. Information collected automatically

  • Server logs: when you visit the site, our hosting provider records standard request data including IP address, user agent, referrer, request URL and timestamp. This information is used for security, analytics and abuse prevention.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see the Cookies section below.
  • Analytics: aggregate visitor analytics such as page views, traffic source and basic engagement metrics.
  • Search Console and webmaster tools: Google Search Console and Bing/IndexNow integrations may share aggregate crawl and search-performance data with the respective search engines (this is standard search-engine behaviour for any indexed website).

3. Information about you in our editorial content

Executive Moves is a journalistic publication. Our editorial team writes about senior executive appointments, board changes and corporate leadership news. We routinely publish names, job titles, employer names, education, board positions and other publicly available career information of the executives we cover. This processing relies on the legitimate journalistic interest of reporting on public-interest matters.

How we use your information

  • To publish editorial content: name, role, company and other career-related facts about executives covered in our reporting.
  • To respond to submissions and enquiries: replying to your messages, evaluating submissions for publication, and discussing commercial enquiries.
  • To deliver the newsletter: sending the daily digest and any related editorial emails to subscribers.
  • To operate the website: keeping the site running, preventing spam and abuse, monitoring performance, and complying with legal obligations.
  • To improve our publication: analysing which content readers engage with so we can write better stories.
  • To comply with applicable law, including UAE laws and any relevant data protection regimes.

Legal basis for processing (for visitors in jurisdictions that require one)

  • Legitimate journalistic interest for publishing public-interest editorial content about executives and companies.
  • Consent for newsletter signups and cookies that aren't strictly necessary.
  • Contract / pre-contract for handling enquiries about advertising, sponsored content and partnerships.
  • Legal obligation where applicable.

Third parties we share information with

We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate the website. They process personal data on our behalf or under their own terms:

  • GoDaddy (hosting, USA) — hosts the website infrastructure.
  • SendGrid by Twilio (transactional email, USA) — delivers automated emails including submission confirmations and editorial alerts.
  • Beehiiv (newsletter platform, USA) — manages newsletter subscriptions and delivery.
  • HubSpot (CRM, USA) — handles contact and lead enquiry tracking when you fill in marketing forms.
  • Anthropic (AI processing, USA) — assists our editorial team in drafting and structuring news content from press releases. No reader-submitted personal data is sent to Anthropic.
  • Google Search Console & Bing Webmaster (via IndexNow) — receive sitemap and URL data for search indexing.
  • Akismet (Automattic) — filters spam comments and submissions.
  • Rank Math & WordPress core — standard publishing infrastructure.
  • Editorial partners (e.g. executive search firms, sponsors) — we may share submission information with relevant editorial partners when you have explicitly directed us to do so.

We do not sell personal information to third parties. We may disclose information when required by law, in response to lawful requests by public authorities, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.

International data transfers

Because many of our service providers are based in the United States, your personal information may be transferred to and processed outside the United Arab Emirates. We rely on the standard data protection terms in each provider's contract.

Cookies and tracking

We and our service providers may set the following types of cookies:

  • Strictly necessary cookies for security, session management and form submission (e.g. WordPress login cookies, comment cookies, anti-CSRF tokens).
  • Functional cookies to remember your preferences (e.g. dismissing the newsletter modal).
  • Analytics cookies to understand aggregate site usage.
  • Marketing cookies set by HubSpot when you interact with HubSpot forms or chat, and by Beehiiv when you click newsletter links.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Disabling necessary cookies will break certain site features (login, submissions, newsletter signup).

How long we keep your information

  • Editorial content: indefinitely — published articles remain in our archive.
  • Submissions not published: retained for up to 12 months for editorial follow-up, then deleted.
  • Newsletter subscriber data: retained until you unsubscribe, then for a short transition period before deletion.
  • Server logs: typically retained for 30–90 days.
  • Commercial enquiry contacts: retained for the duration of the business relationship plus a reasonable archive period.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion, subject to our editorial and legal-record obligations.
  • Object to processing or restrict it in certain circumstances.
  • Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior lawful processing).
  • Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

Where the request concerns published editorial content about an executive, we will balance the request against the public interest in maintaining accurate journalism. We will not silently remove or alter published news. Corrections of factual errors are made promptly when justified.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@executive-moves.com.

Sponsored content

Editorial content that is paid for by a third party is clearly labelled with a visible "Sponsored" badge and machine-readable schema. Sponsored content does not change how we handle the personal information of readers.

Children

Executive Moves is a B2B publication aimed at senior business decision-makers. Our content is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS encryption, access controls, hosting-level firewalls and regular software updates. No system is perfectly secure. If you have reason to believe your interaction with the site is no longer secure, contact us immediately.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the date at the top of this page, and where significant, by a notice on the site.
