Formnext 2026 will be held at the Messe Frankfurt exhibition grounds from 17 to 20 November, opening from 09:00 to 18:00 from Tuesday to Thursday and until 16:00 on the Friday. The annual expo and convention for additive manufacturing and industrial production is organised by Mesago Messe Frankfurt.
The exhibition covers industrial 3D printing systems, materials, software, post processing and the conventional production technologies that sit alongside additive processes. The supporting programme includes the Formnext Awards and, for 2026, a Defence Summit that reflects the growing use of additive manufacturing in defence supply chains, according to the organiser. Mesago has already set the dates for Formnext 2027 as 26 to 29 October 2027.
The event matters to executives because additive manufacturing has moved from prototyping into series production in aerospace, medical, automotive and energy, and Formnext is where the chief executives of machine makers, materials groups and their industrial customers set out roadmaps, capacity plans and partnerships. Heads of manufacturing and supply chain at large industrial groups attend to assess how far the technology can replace conventional tooling and inventory.
