The SZ-Wirtschaftsgipfel 2026 will be held at the Gasometer Berlin on the EUREF-Campus from 9 to 11 November. The annual economic summit of the Sueddeutsche Zeitung reaches its 20th edition in 2026 and runs under the motto "Souveraen in wilden Zeiten", which translates as sovereign in wild times. It moves to the Gasometer for the first time.

The summit gathers decision makers from politics, business and academia for on stage interviews and panel debates. For 2026 the organiser has added a second focus stage covering artificial intelligence, space, defence technology and finance. Confirmed speakers include Federal Transport Minister Steffen Bilger and Federal Finance Minister Lars Klingbeil, and an SZ Soiree takes place at the French Embassy on 10 November.

The event matters to executives because it is the German newspaper summit at which the Chancellor and federal ministers customarily face the chief executives of DAX companies and the Mittelstand in public, and because the exchanges there set the tone for industrial and fiscal policy debate into the following year. Board members of German corporates, investors and the heads of industry associations attend.

The Gasometer stands on the EUREF-Campus in the Schoeneberg district of Berlin.
