The 46th World Congress on Military Medicine of the International Committee of Military Medicine takes place at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi from 9 to 13 November 2026. Hosted by the United Arab Emirates, the congress is expected to bring delegations from more than 120 countries, including surgeons general, directors of military health services and the civilian health system leaders and industry partners who work alongside them.

The International Committee of Military Medicine is the intergovernmental body through which armed forces medical services cooperate, and its world congress is the largest regular meeting of the field. The programme covers battlefield and trauma care, medical logistics, disaster and humanitarian response, military public health, mental health and rehabilitation, and the technologies, from telemedicine to autonomous evacuation, that are changing how forces deliver care.

Abu Dhabi's hosting reflects the UAE's investment in both its defence sector and its health system, and the congress sits within a busy November calendar at ADNEC. The event is listed in the ADNEC Group second half calendar published by the Abu Dhabi Media Office.

For executives, the congress is relevant to leaders of hospital groups, medical device and pharmaceutical companies, defence contractors and logistics providers who supply or partner with military health services. Senior government and military health appointments across the region are visible in the delegations, and procurement priorities for medical equipment and services are frequently signalled in the congress programme. It is an event for the executive layer of health and defence rather than for a general business audience.
