Faizal Kundil has joined United Arab Bank (UAB) as Head of Personal Banking, bringing more than 25 years of experience across retail, consumer and wealth banking.
Kundil joins UAB following a five-and-a-half-year tenure at Ajman Bank, where he served as Head of Consumer Banking. He previously held senior roles with leading financial institutions including Citibank, Standard Chartered, Dubai Islamic Bank, Emirates Islamic and FAB Group.
Throughout his career, Kundil has built extensive expertise across consumer banking, digital transformation, product development, sales and distribution, payments and customer experience.
Announcing his appointment, Kundil thanked UAB CEO Shirish Bhide and the Board for their confidence and said he was looking forward to working with the team to build on the bank’s foundations and drive continued growth in Personal Banking.
His appointment comes as UAB continues to strengthen its customer proposition and digital capabilities. With his extensive experience in consumer banking and transformation, Kundil is well positioned to contribute to the bank’s next phase of growth.
