Barclays has appointed Mathias Gonzalez as Chief Investment Officer, Barclays (Suisse) SA and Head of Investments for Barclays Private Bank, Switzerland and Dubai. He has also been appointed a member of the Executive Committee of Barclays Bank (Suisse) SA.
Mathias has over 20 years of experience working in investments and with Ultra High Net Worth clients. Prior to joining Barclays, he held various senior positions at Pictet with a focus on the Middle East region. Before joining Pictet, Mathias worked at J.P. Morgan and Goldman Sachs covering ultra-high net worth individuals across multiple regions.
In this new role, Mathias will be responsible for all private bank investments business in Switzerland and Dubai. He will work alongside Private Bankers to develop investment opportunities and deliver end-to-end solutions for the UHNW and Family Office client base.
Mathias joined Barclays in November 2024 and is based in Geneva. He reports to Jean-Damien Marie, Global Head of Investments, Private Bank & Wealth Management.
