Dr. Thomas Fishbein is the executive director of MedStar Georgetown Transplant Institute (MGTI), where he also serves as director of the Liver Diseases and Transplant Program and professor in the Departments of Surgery and Pediatrics. He oversees clinical research at MGTI and is the principal investigator of numerous clinical trials. Under his leadership, MedStar Georgetown Transplant Institute surgeons have performed more than 10,000 transplants, and the institute is one of the highest volume organ transplant programs in the country.
