Tariq bin Abdul Aziz Al Faris

Tariq bin Abdul Aziz Al-Faris was reappointed as board chairman of Arriyadh Development Company (ARDCO) for a three-year term beginning June 25, 2019. He later served as Mayor of Riyadh Region and CEO of the Arriyadh Development Authority (ADA) until November 26, 2019. He was appointed a member of the Shura Council in 2020 and became Senior Adviser to the Arab Urban Development Institute.

Al-Faris earned his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Arizona in Tucson in 1984 and completed his master's degree in civil engineering in 1986. His career in urban development spans over three decades with progressive advancement from Civil Engineer at ADA in 1986 through senior positions including Director of Projects Management (1994), Director General of Construction (1999), and Director General of Urban Facilities (2009).
