Talha Karim

Talha Karim was appointed Group Chief Risk Officer at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) in April 2024. With over 25 years of experience in Risk Management in the banking sector, Karim has worked in both developed and emerging markets. He has led and implemented comprehensive and effective risk related frameworks, ensuring all risks are effectively managed within the defined risk appetite. Karim holds the Qualified Risk Director (QRD®) credential from the DCRO Institute.

Karim holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Arizona State University and a Master's of International Business in Finance from the University of San Diego, USA. He also holds the GAICD (Graduate Australian Institute of Company Directors) from AICD, Australia, and the ACI (Association Cambiste Internationale) Diploma from the UK.
