Samer Deghaili

Samer Deghaili serves as Co-Head of Capital Markets and Advisory (CMA) for the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey (MENAT) at HSBC, based in the United Arab Emirates. He was appointed HSBC's head of equity capital markets for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) in 2013, and has been Co-Head of HSBC's investment banking business in the region since 2020. He holds a CFA certification.

Together with newly appointed co-head Mohammed Fannouch, Deghaili is responsible for building on HSBC's market-leading franchise and driving its CMA strategy in the Middle East, comprising financing solutions, corporate finance, and strategic advisory. Deghaili is recognized for his ECM background, having been instrumental in managing HSBC's capital markets operations across the region.

As Co-Head of Capital Financing & Investment Banking Coverage for MENAT, Deghaili has demonstrated expertise in advising on major IPOs, with HSBC executing significant transactions in the GCC region. He provides strategic guidance on capital markets trends, including debt capital markets issuance and private credit structuring for infrastructure and technology projects.
