Julian Barratt-Due

Julian Barratt-Due joined KKR in 2016 as a Managing Director and now leads KKR's investment team in the Middle East. Prior to leading the firm's investment practice in the Middle East, Barratt-Due was based in KKR's London office focusing on European infrastructure investments.

Barratt-Due holds a Master of Arts in International Business and Finance from the University of Edinburgh (2008-2012). Before joining KKR, he worked at J.P. Morgan in New York, focusing on mergers, acquisitions and financing transactions in the energy sector within the firm's investment banking division.

At KKR, Barratt-Due has played an active role in a broad range of investments including European Locomotive Leasing (ELL), X-Elio, Acciona Energia Internacional, Telxius Telecom, Hivory, Global Technical Realty (GTR), Reintel, Northumbrian Water, Telenor Fiber, Grove Education and Gulf Data Hub (GDH). He is on the Board of Directors of GTR, Reintel, Northumbrian Water, Telenor Fiber, Grove Education, GDH and was previously a board member of ELL and Telxius Telecom. Barratt-Due previously played a key role in the firm's strategic investment into Gulf Data Hub, a fast-growing data centre platform with assets across the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
