Gordon Thomson

Gordon Thomson is President of Cisco's Europe, Middle East and Africa region (EMEA), effective July 28, 2025. With responsibility for Cisco's growth, business and operations across the region, Thomson's focus is on driving strategies that deliver on customers' technology transformation requirements, helping to close the digital divide and leverage the power of AI. Under his leadership, Cisco's EMEA region represents more than a quarter of Cisco's revenue.

Thomson is known for his hands-on, results-oriented approach to complex challenges, his authenticity and his people management skills. He has implemented innovative go-to-market models that accelerate the shift to software selling and digital transformation, while building strong teams and followership. He has achieved unrivaled success in designing sales strategies for the new software and cloud-centered markets.

In addition to his Cisco roles, Thomson has been chairperson of Edesix and the Glasgow Business Service, and a non-executive director of Sustainable Glasgow, Raploch Urban Regeneration Council and ScotlandIS. Thomson has spent 27 years with Cisco, with 22 of them in roles across EMEA.
